Altiris client lifecycle management software helps customers reduce the cost and time required to implement business and technology change.
Built on the new Altiris 6 infrastructure, these two HP management products now leverage the latest Altiris software for improved usability, security and globalization. HP CMS and additional Altiris solutions combine to provide comprehensive PC hardware and software management from a single, web-based console.

New HP Client Manager Software 6.0
HP CMS 6.0 is a co-developed solution based on the Altiris 6 infrastructure for managing HP client hardware. HP CMS is a value-add software, available at no charge to HP customers, which provides remote hardware management of HP business PCs from a single console. HP CMS aggregates detailed HP hardware data to automate tasks like PC health monitoring, hardware patch updates, diagnostic reporting and detailed inventory management.
To help customers get up and running even faster, HP CMS now leverages the new Altiris 6 task-based user interface, increased security, management console personalization and task shortcuts, and more efficient setup and installation. New Wake-on-LAN features enable remote computer start up for off-hours scheduling of HP client hardware management tasks.
New Altiris Connector for HP Systems Insight Manager
A new solution developed to work with the Altiris 6 infrastructure, the Altiris Connector for HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) integrates client and server lifecycle management tasks into a common console. This new Altiris Connector provides seamless integration of PC management into the HP SIM console for consolidated enterprise client hardware and software lifecycle management. HP client and server deployment, HP client hardware tasks and access to the Altiris console are now made accessible to HP SIM users.
