Altiris, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRS), a pioneer of IT lifecycle management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning IT resources, today announced it was named as the fastest growing IT lifecycle management software company on the Software 500 list for the second year in a row. Altiris was ranked as the eleventh largest company in the ‘Infrastructure / Network Management Software’ category in this annual ranking of the leading companies in the software and services industry.
For calendar year 2004, Altiris reported revenue of $166.6 million, which represents a 67.7 percent increase over $99.3 million in revenue reported in calendar year 2003.
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The list includes both private and public companies; 28% of the 2004 Software 500 companies are private.
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2004. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information is posted at www.Softwaremag.com.
