    Altiris, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRS), a pioneer of IT lifecycle management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning IT resources, today announced that Mark Nicolett, Gartner Research VP and analyst, will join Altiris representatives to present his latest research on reducing IT risk through vulnerability management. This special New York City Altiris user group event will be held at the Marriott Marquis on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

    WHO: Mark Nicolett is a vice president at Gartner Research. His research in the IT security and privacy area focuses on vulnerability management, patch management, IT security management and business continuity planning.

    WHAT: A special New York City Altiris user group meeting that combines IT security management expertise from Mr. Nicolett and Altiris. In his presentation, Mr. Nicolett will address:
