Symantec Acquires Transparent Logic Technologies, Inc.

Symantec has acquired Transparent Logic Technologies, Inc., also known as T-Logic. Transparent Logic's products support business process automation and workflow, and will extend Symantec's systems management products from the Altiris Business Unit.

A new workflow product offering is expected to be available in the first calendar quarter of 2008. This workflow product will tightly integrate with Symantec's other Altiris systems management products providing a unique business process automation solution. This next phase of configuration and service management automation will help Symantec's customers implement a business logic management system that automates the change inherent to business processes. Business process automation and workflow will help reduce the cost and complexity of managing IT resources.

Existing customers of Transparent Logic products will continue to receive support through their current contacts. Customers currently evaluating Transparent Logic products can continue to use their current evaluation software and licenses until the new workflow product is available in the first calendar quarter of 2008.
