Certification Boot Camp Training

Altiris certification boot camps provide an opportunity to learn Altiris products and obtain certification at an accelerated rate. The boot camps combine content from one or more week-long Altiris courses into an intense, fast-paced one-week course. Certification testing occurs in the classroom on the last day of class. Passing the exams in a certification track enables you to immediately earn either Altiris Certified Engineer (ACE) or Altiris Certified Professional (ACP) certification.

The boot camps are more rigorous than traditional Altiris instructor-led courses. Not only do they include additional content and offer certification testing, but the class day is longer and there is additional coursework. Before registering for a boot camp, review the course details:  

• Class times are 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday–Friday, with scheduled breaks
• There is assigned reading and study each evening
• The class day often begins with a quiz that covers the assigned evening reading and previous day's material
• There is recommended pre-class reading and study

Altiris provides training materials for boot camp registrants. Two weeks before a course begins, you will receive:  

• The related training guides
• A Web link to access the related online training courses
• Exam certification vouchers to use in class
